The reason for it has been simple, it is us. Yes we are to blame that India being only officially “independent”. Because we never cared for the level of independence we had nor did we care for what even the basic definition of independence meant. For many it only means the establishment of a democratic government. But mind you the rulers of our government have rewritten the basic definition of democracy. I would bluntly claim our current political system as aristocracy. We need a change. We need the independence that the protagonists of our freedom struggle left for us. It is our right and the time has come to stand up to claim it, to stand up for our beliefs, to stand up for what we believe is right, to stand up for our independence. The rulers of our nation have not only deprived us of our freedom but have based themselves on the exploitation of the masses and have ruined India economically, politically, culturally and spiritually, therefore India must sever their connection and attain complete independence. “PURNA SWARAJ” Nehru asked for it in 1928 and 80 years down I ask it in 2008.
